How to insert a form into a page or post

When WordPress 5 came out we got a completely new block-based editor and the familiar “Add Form” button disappeared.

RIP, classic Add Form button.

So How Do I Add A Form To My Page Now?

It’s quite easy once you get used to it. All you have to do is insert a shortcode with the correct form ID number into your page.

The shortcode looks like this:

[gravityform id="316" title="false" description="false"]

And on your page it looks like this:

You don’t need to use a special type of block for this. A normal paragraph block will do, just add it like you would add some text to your page.

Don’t forget to use the correct form ID in the id=X argument. This number is displayed at the top of the form when you edit it and it looks like this:

Preview your form, and make sure everything checks out!

Congratulations! Your form is now up and running, and you didn’t need the “Add Form” button for even a second!
