We are currently working with the national allied health professional (AHP) team from NHS England & NHS Improvement to widen participation on the national NHS Leadership Academy programmes, specifically the Nye Bevan, due to the strategic nature and systems focus.
As the number of strategic AHP leadership roles grow across England, it is crucial that we ensure the aspiring AHP leaders of tomorrow are supported to develop the skills, competencies and behaviours required to lead at these senior strategic levels.
The aim of this short survey is to establish how many Nye Bevan alumni are from an AHP background and gain an understanding of the drivers for taking part and the impacts/benefits that have been experienced since finishing the programme. Once we have done this, we will look to consider forming a network to bring you together, to help inform our talent/succession strategy for AHPs and the associated interventions.
